The Ather 450X is the most premium Ather electric scooter. It comes in two variants: the first variant gets a 3.7kWh battery capacity and the other gets a 2.9kWh capacity.
The Ather 450X comes in two variants, the 2.9kWh variant is offered at Rs 1,54,999. The 450X with the 3.7kWh battery comes priced at Rs 1,40,599 (all ex-showroom Bengaluru).
The Ather 450X has a PMS(permanent magnet synchronous) motor that is able to generate a nominal power of 3kW and a peak power output of 6.4kW, the torque output comes to 26Nm, and the scooter has a claimed top speed of 90kmph.
The scooter has two battery pack options, a 3.7kWh one and a 2.9kWh. The 3.7kWh variant delivers a claimed range of 146km and the 2.9kWh variant provides a certified range of 111km. Charging times differ, with the 3.7kWh battery requiring 5 hours and 45 minutes for a full charge while the 2.9kWh variant takes 8 hours and 36 minutes.
The Ather 450X comes equipped with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen console that boasts an IP65 durability rating, both variants are driven by a quad-core Snapdragon processor that’s complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The Ather scooter operates on an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) based operating system.
The Pro Pack add-on enhances the scooter's capabilities and offers more features, such as a coloured screen with adaptive brightness, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth functionality for call/SMS alerts and music controls and Google Maps-powered navigation.
There’s also the introduction of various customisation options such as multiple themes and a night mode. Along with practical additions like auto-off turn indicators, Guide-me-home light, document storage, location tracking, a trip planner, fast charging support, over-the-air (OTA) software updates and an Auto-Hold(hill-hold) feature. The Ather 450X is built upon an aluminium chassis and features a suspension setup consisting of a telescopic front fork and a monoshock unit in the rear. Braking is handled by a 200mm front disc and 190mm rear disc, both supported by CBS (Combined Braking System) with regenerative braking as standard. The scooter has 12-inch alloy wheels and is fitted with 90-section and 100-section tubeless tires in the front and rear respectively. It offers a ground clearance of 153mm and a seat height of 780mm. In terms of heft, the 3.7kWh variant has a kerb weight of 111.6kg, while the 2.9kWh variant weighs 108kg.
